Marina Rowe is a professional project manager with more than 13 years of experience in the HE sector in the UK. With two Master degrees, in geology from the Saint-Petersburg University and in accounting from Moscow Finacial University in Russia, she also holds a professional certificate in PRINCE2 Project Management.
Marina’s main place of work is the Royal College of Art in London where she is acting as a research and knowledge exchange developer. She is a visiting research management consultant at the University of Bedfordshire Business School and is responsible for the innovation and enterprise agenda and in particular the facilitation of research bids and projects. Marina is experienced in both, pre- and post-award management of the research and commercial projects. She is currently managing and co-ordinating national and international research bids and funded projects from various EU and local bodies: Research Councils, EC (e.g. Creative Europe, MSCA, Erasmus +, H2020), a number of foundations and trusts, local UK organisations and charities.
Through her involvement in EU funded projects, she has gained valuable insights into the design, development and applications of various e-learning methods and tools for training and education purposes. Prof Duan also has extensive EU project management experience. Yanqing has over 180 referred publications in journals, books and international conference proceedings.
Role in relation to CEF project:
Marina is a member of the UoB project team. She will be responsible for managing of financial and administrative criteria, monitoring expenditure and income, liaising with external and internal parties, co-ordinating some project activities, organising workshops/meetings, assisting the PIs and other researchers when necessary, submitting reports to the funded body.
